Attestation on Child or Forced Labour

Richlu Mfg. Annual Report to the Minister of Public Safety

1. Winnipeg Pants dba Richlu Manufacturing (Richlu) is a for profit entity principally located in Winnipeg, MB Canada.
2. Richlu is a privately owned entity that wholesales clothing products manufactured domestically, as well as outside of Canada. Distribution takes place from our facilities in Winnipeg, MB.
3. Through our Commercial Vendor Agreements with our suppliers that prohibit the use of Child/Forced Labour with a zero tolerance policy, we initiate ongoing monitoring and audits of the facilities where our product is manufactured.
4. We have recognized that the manufacturing phase is the most “at risk” step in our supply chain mapping. As such, we have focussed our attention and requirements on monitoring this phase. We use third party inspectors, as well as our own staff for this purpose and require manufacturing plants to have internal protocols to prevent the use of Child/Forced Labour.
5. Richlu zero tolerance policy as codified in our Commercial Vendor Agreements requires the appropriate staff to be kept abreast of any changing requirements in the local laws, as well as Canadian law so as to enforce the Agreement.
6. We assess our effectiveness through our formal auditing process that are reviewed by Senior Management to ensure compliance.

In accordance with the requirements of the Act, and in particular section 11 thereof, I attest that I have reviewed the information contained in the report for the entity or entities listed above. Based on my knowledge, and having exercised reasonable diligence, I attest that the information in the report is true, accurate and complete in all material respects for the purposes of the Act, for the reporting year listed above.
